I went to the fly fishing expo a month ago and it was good. But the Idaho Sportsman Show was a real disappointment, not only to me, but to those who went with me and other people I met there. It mostly consisted of Guide Companies promoting their trips, antlers of every animal shape and size, health care products, and other assorted junk. One small knife stand, one spin fishing section, a couple of lure companies, one fly company, lots of backpacks, and not much else. The only thing that made it worthwhile to me, to me was the seminar put on by Dry Fly Innovations. Nate Brumley was a big help to me as a new fly fisherman. I won't be attending this show next year, and neither will anyone else I talked to.

It was an evening of wind and ran but it was enjoyable. I wished more would have showed up. Don Sherron BBQ'd for us again. Thanks Don, did you OD on Key Lime pie? I put left over pop in storage for later events. Left over perishable food stuff was taken home by members. Thanks to those who brought side dishes and desserts.
