Our guest speaker for the month of January will be Dennis Hanson of Adventure-guides.com Dennis and his wife will be giving a power point presentation on a trip they guide in the Frank Church Wilderness of No Return in Idaho. This trip is a unique backpacking/Fly fishing trip on Big Creek in the middle of 2.3 million acres of wilderness. This looks like a great program, come out and enjoy the club’s First presentation of the New Year. Don
To all those who are planning on attending the party on Thursday .Dec. 15th. We have made the decision to move the party to the Pizza Hut at 818 Ann Morrison Park Dr. Boise. This is near the East entrance to Ann M. Park off of Capital Blvd. This will NOT BE A POTLUCK. The club will pay for pizza/pasta and soft drinks. If you want anything different or in addition ….like salads, beer or wine you will need to purchase these yourself. We felt that this was easier to pull off and to organize. So all you have to do is to ……..SHOW UP!!!! We will start about 6:30 pm. This is our normal meeting night so there is NO MEETING AT FISH & GAME in December. Spouses, friends and kids are welcome. Here’s a chance to get to know one another a little better and visit. Bring some of your favorite fishing photos and stories to share. There is no need to respond to this unless you want to confirm your attendance. Thanks and have a great holiday season. Brad
We will have a representative from Rivers United speaking to us about some current issues. This may include updates about several mining projects that effect waters in and around our area. The program will start about 7:00 pm. As a result of this we will not be tying flies ,so leave your “stuff” at home.
This month’s meeting will be a discussion on upcoming event’s for the 2012 year, along with tying a few flies all members are asked to attend if possible. November’s news letter is available online Thanks Brad
Thanks to all that showed up for our second roadside clean up this year, the club has done a great job we have the cleanest section on hwy 20. Fishing was a bit tuff on the southfork but a few nice rainbows were caught.

The August fishout to Dagger Fall’s was a success as usual with only a few snags. The campgrounds were upgraded at the end of our stay with some confusion on construction dates but overall things went as planned. Some nice fish in the 18 to 19 inch range were caught, water temp was around 56 with great weather in the 70′s.
August is here which means it’s time for the grand trip to Dagger Falls after those colorful cutthroat’s.The dates are set for August 13-14 some will be arriving early and staying for the week, remember the camping fee’s $5.00 a night.Take the Boundary Creek (FR 582) turn off on highway 21 between mile marker 109-112 area, follow to Dagger Falls Road (568) and follow the signs.Any questains call Don Salgrove (208) 365-4620
This month’s fish out was a bit slow on the Owyhee with an outside temperature in the 90′s.Water temp’s varied from 50 to 65 degrees, water clarity was in the brown range, with a sparse mayfly hatch in the evening. A few fish were caught but overall it was tough fishing still beats mowing the lawn!!!
Don Sulgrove has changed the July fishout to the Owyhee River. He plans to go over on Friday the 22-24 and camp until Sunday. If you go be prepared for lots of sun and (houseflies) come to the meeting to discuss ant details.
